Meet Chef Mollie
Born and raised in Mekele, a small town in northern Ethiopia with deep ties to Italian culture, Mollie Ahlstrand grew up surrounded by the language, flavors, and traditions of Italy. She trained in Rome, Umbria, and Bologna under some of Italy's most-decorated chefs, immersing herself in the traditions, techniques, and soul of regional Italian cooking.
Her talent earned extraordinary recognition: National Geographic named her restaurant one of the Ten Best Destination Restaurants in the World — two years running. She was honored with the prestigious Star Diamond Award and recognized by Best Chefs America, cementing her place among the country's culinary elite.
Her table has drawn President Obama, VP Biden, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Kirk and Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and John Cleese — guests who return not for spectacle, but for the warmth and artistry of Mollie's cooking.
